activities
community supported
In the heart of the Amazon, lives the Três Unidos indigenous community, located in the Rio Negro Environmental Protection Area (APA), 60 km from Manaus. The indigenous people belong to the Kambeba ethnic group , totaling 120 people who make up 38 family units, whose main source of income is tourism.
The Kambeba are a distinct indigenous people who have very particular languages, dances, foods and traditions. They are originally from Peru, having come to Brazil via rivers in small boats in the last century. Today, Kambeba live in the Solimões and Rio Negro rivers. In addition to tourism, the local population also generates income through the handicrafts they make. Ancestry is something important, which the elders seek to share with the younger generation.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Those who identify needs are those who feel them. Karibu, in partnership with local leaders, identifies which needs can be addressed and the best ways to implement them through social activities, aiming for consistent results.
Those interested will be able to work in different areas, depending on their skills. It is not necessary to have any specific knowledge, as Karibu will provide prior training in the execution of the activities developed. The most important thing is to be proactive in learning, teaching and acquiring new experiences. The following activities will be structured:
